Requirements

Make sure your Paymenter installation is ready before installing Astra.

PHP

Use the PHP version required by your installed Paymenter release.

Node.js 18+

Node.js and npm are required to compile the theme assets.

Keep Composer available for your existing Paymenter setup.

A working Paymenter installation with its database and web server configured.

Installation

Install Astra without changing Paymenter's application data or backend logic.

Back up first.
Back up your Paymenter files and database before installing or updating a theme.

Install the licensed Astra package

Upload the Astra package supplied with your purchase into your Paymenter installation. The package contains only the files covered by your license.

INSTALL LOCATION/var/www/paymenter/themes/astra

Install and build assets

Run the build from the Paymenter root directory.

cd /var/www/paymenter
npm install
npm run build astra

Clear application caches

Clear cached configuration, routes, views and optimized files.

php artisan optimize:clear

Activate Astra

Open your Paymenter admin panel and select Astra as the active storefront theme.

ADMIN PANEL Settings → Theme → astra

Verify your storefront

Reload your website and test the homepage, authentication, dashboard and checkout flow.

Language files

Convert Astra's YAML language file to Paymenter's PHP language format.

Rollback

If Astra causes an issue, return to Paymenter's default theme safely.

01Open Admin Panel → Settings.

02Change the active theme from astra to default.

03Run php artisan optimize:clear.

A theme changes presentation only. Your Paymenter data is not modified by Astra's frontend theme.

Troubleshooting

Common installation checks.

Astra does not appear in the theme selector

Confirm that the folder is exactly /var/www/paymenter/themes/astra, then clear caches and refresh the admin panel.

Styles are missing after activation

Run npm install and npm run build astra from the Paymenter root, then run php artisan optimize:clear.

Can I safely update Astra?

Back up first. Rebuild the theme assets after updating and re-check your custom CSS and theme settings.

License & source protection

Astra is distributed as a paid theme. Installation documentation does not include the theme source code.
